Karl Kotas is a multidisciplinary visual artist, creative director, and illustrator based in New York City. His work brings together influences from high fashion, pop art, underground surrealism, cartoons, and punk culture.

Kotas began his creative career in the punk scene, working on magazines, music videos, album covers, and rock posters. Over the years, his practice has expanded across painting, illustration, animation, and digital media. His work often combines underground comix and counterculture with popular imagery, creating a bold and playful visual language.

His Punkadelic Mandala series reflects many of these influences through psychedelic imagery, humor, and densely layered compositions. He has also collaborated on music and digital projects, including The Lords of Acid Multiverse with electronic musician Praga Khan.

Throughout his career, Kotas has continued to move between fine art, commercial design, music, and digital culture, bringing these different influences together in his work.
