Sound Current: A Soft Opening

Thursday, October 29, 2026, 6-9 PM

Sound Current, the new sound system at New York Art Culture, is introduced with a soft opening on Thursday, October 29, at 17 Essex Street.

Music has always been part of 17 Essex Street: DJs, bands, drummers, piano and performance. With Sound Current, music becomes a central mission of New York Art Culture in its own right. There is no exhibition on view; the evening introduces the system itself and the music mission it begins.
