Our mission

We support selected exhibitions and cultural initiatives that make room for voices that are too often unheard. Our work brings artists, audiences and ideas into conversation through exhibitions, music and public programming.

Selection starts with the cultural purpose of a project: whose story it brings forward, why it matters, and how our time and resources can help it reach people. The purpose is to showcase selected art and make it accessible to the public.

Commercial publishing, artwork sales and ticket sales are separate from noncommercial donated programming. Foundation funds are kept in a separate bank account from commercial activity.

Our programs

Exhibitions

Present selected work and create time to encounter it in person.

Music and gatherings

Bring people into the same room for performances, conversation and shared experience.

Stories and context

Help the public encounter the ideas, histories and voices behind the exhibitions we support.

JEWISH ART SALON AT CURRENT ARTS GALLERY

Translations: The 613

Ancient rules, contemporary visions. Contemporary American and Israeli artists respond to the 613 mitzvot through questions of identity, migration, power, justice and contemporary experience.

Presented by Jewish Art Salon and Current Arts Gallery. Curated by Richard McBee, Joel Silverstein and Yona Verwer.

Voices, context and access

We want to develop work with schools and cultural partners, and make space for underrepresented and unheard voices, including Jewish and Haitian perspectives.

These are priorities for development, not a claim that a named school partnership or new program is already in place.

Donate

Gifts help provide the materials and equipment needed for selected exhibitions, music and public programs, and improve the space where that work happens.

Gallery commissions and ticket sales help cover the space. Donations and in-kind contributions help build the resources for noncommercial programming.

Materials, equipment and in-kind support

Donated materials and equipment are part of how this work is made possible. We welcome practical contributions that help us present exhibitions, make music and improve the space.
